The Business Committee has been closely monitoring and following the guidance recommended by National, State, Health, CDC and other agencies. There have been several group calls with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Affairs Tribal Assistance Coordination Group. Additionally, there have been conference calls with Indian Health Services. The Business Committee wants to ensure the health and safety of tribal members, residents, and employees, and mitigate the impact of the virus. Social distancing is one of the primary methods to curtail the spread of the virus. As a result, the following direction and actions are provided:
Attention: The San Pasqual Tribal Administration will be reducing hours at the front desk to the following:
Monday-Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 12pm.
Some employees will be working from home. This work arrangement will be re-assessed at the end of the period contingent on the status of the virus. Most Tribal Government services by departments and committees will be done over the telephone or by text and email. Person to person contact will be limited to emergencies only. Contact will be minimized to the receptionists and back office visits stopped. Checks for per capita, payroll, and general welfare will be mailed for those without direct deposit. All are encouraged to establish direct deposit.
By these actions and others, we are confident we can keep providing government services and keep safe. More updates will be provided as new information is provided and to adapt to the changing situation.
